1st European Deboning Championship 29 Aug 2009
The 1st European Deboning Championship will take place on 29 Aug 2009. In future, the championship will take place every two years. All butchery employees of the European meat industry are invited to participate. As with German Deboning Championship in previous years, the event will be initiated by Tonnies Fleisch and Friedr.Dick, Deizisau.
The object is to get the interest of all workers employed in the meat industry, in the particular areas of the Butchery or Craftsmanship and find the best. The high standards of hygiene, exact conditions and technical skills can be demonstrated. In addition to this the championship will improve the image of the whole meat industry and diplay hygiene standards and the skills of butchery workers.

1st prize for the Best of the best (overall winner) is a Harley Davidson to the value of €17,900.00

During the day, various family orientated attractions and infomation programmes will be run in the main marquee and in tent city. Special features of the event are the live video link, enabling visitors to follow the competition from the main marquee and from a rostrum in the deboning area. This will of course only be allowed under strict observance of hygiene regulations and wearing the necessary protective slothing supplied by the organiser.
